At the National Day event in Washington , DC on the 1st Sept 2011, US Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, Francisco Sanchez has confirmed the growing importance of his country’s relations with Vietnam , “ Vietnam is one of the markets we most want to do business with,” Sanchez said.
Vietnam’s new ambassador to the US has affirmed that the most important goal of his working term is to contribute to developing the Vietnam-US ties into a strategic partnership.
Appointed Ambassador of Vietnam to the US Nguyen Quoc Cuong expressed his strong belief in the bright future of the friendship and partnership between the US and Vietnam, committing his whole tenure to that future.
At a reception for representatives of the Business Association of Overseas Vietnamese – US branch in Washington on May 13, the newly-appointed Vietnamese ambassador to the US, Nguyen Quoc Cuong, pledged to provide more support for the Vietnamese community in the US and create favourable conditions for businesses of Vietnamese Americans to invest in Vietnam.
