U.S. funds survey of unexploded mines in Central Viet Nam
Ha Noi, Feb. 12 (VNA) -- The Viet Nam Veterans of America Foundation will help Viet Nam conduct landmine and unexploded ordnance data collection, field survey and data analysis in the central provinces of Quang Tri, Quang Binh and Ha Tinh.
This is the first phase of a comprehensive survey project to determine the density of unexploded mines and ordnance in Viet Nam.
The Viet Nam Veterans of America Foundation has over the past two years provided Viet Nam with a quantity of equipment to clear landmines and unexploded ordnance in Quang Tri, Quang Binh and Ha Tinh provinces.
