Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Dzung to pay courtesy calls to US diplomats and partners

 On March 1, 2022, Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Dzung paid a virtual courtesy call on the commencement of his term with Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink. Ambassador Dung expressed his pleasure to meet Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Kritenbrink again in new roles and affirmed that he continues to work closely with the Department of State and other US partners to further promote the Vietnam - US Comprehensive Partnership. Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Kritenbrink greeted and congratulated Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Dzung on the start of his term in Washington DC and affirmed his willingness to work closely with Ambassador Dzung to contribute to bringing the bilateral ties to new height.

 

 

 

On the same day, in the morning, Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Dzung attended a virtual meeting with the ASEAN Committee in Washington DC (ACW), the National Security Council and the US Department of State to discuss preparations for the US-ASEAN Special Summit to be held in Washington DC. Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Dzung also had a phone talk with Representative Joaquin Castro, Co-chair of the ASEAN Caucus in the US Congress and received former Congressman Ted Yoho.

 

During the meetings, the partners and friends from the US government and the diplomatic corps warmly welcomed Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Dzung and expressed their desire to continue to work closely with Ambassador Dzung, contributing to the Vietnam - US relations and ASEAN – US relations at large./.
