Update on the situation of COVID-19 outbreak relating to Vietnam

 

On February 25, 2020, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc issued Directive No. 10/2020 on the prevention and control of COVID-19, whereby:

 

- There have been a total of 16 cases infected with coronavirus across the country up to date; all 16 cases have received treatment and recovered from the infection; no new cases have been reported during the last 12 days.

 

- From 09:00 pm February 26, 2020 (local Vietnam time), temporarily suspend entry into Vietnam with travelers who come from or pass through areas affected by the outbreak in South Korea (Daegu city and Gyeongsangbuk province) during the 14-day period prior to their tentative entry into Vietnam; for travelers coming to Vietnam on official missions, kindly contact Vietnam’s diplomatic missions for further actions.

 

- All travelers coming from/passing through South Korea will be required to submit a medical declaration upon entry into Vietnam, and will be subjected to strict medical surveillance and health check-up within a 14-day period./.
