Ambassador Ha Kim Ngoc pays respect to the late President George H.W. Bush
On behalf of Vietnamese Government, Ambassador of Viet Nam to the United States Ha Kim Ngoc, together with other Ambassadors and representatives in Diplomatic Corps in Washington D.C., attended the Capitol Rotunda Ceremony on December 3rd, 2018, to pay respect to the late President George H.W. Bush.
On the same day, Ambassador Ha Kim Ngoc came to the U.S Department of State to sign the condolence book in honor of the late President George H.W. Bush.
In his condolence message, Ambassador Ha Kim Ngoc wrote: “The Government and people of Viet Nam are very sad to learn that the 41stPresident of the United States George H.W. Bush passed away. On behalf of the Vietnamese Government and people, I would like to express our deepest condolences to the Government and people of the United States, and especially to the family of the late President George H.W. Bush."
Ambassador Ha Kim Ngoc also noted that Viet Nam very much appreciates the long-term strategic vision and strong leadership by President Bush that helped lay the solid foundation for the normalization and then, the friendship and co-operation between Viet Nam and the United States. “We will always remember his visit to Viet Nam in 1995 right after the establishment of diplomatic relations”, he added./.
