On July 28, Viet Nam Embassy in Washington D.C organized a virtual ceremony chaired by Vietnamese Ambassador to the United States Ha Kim Ngoc to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Viet Nam - US diplomatic ties. U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegun, Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont), Congressman Ted Yoho (R-Florida) were the Guests of Honor at the ceremony.

Viet Nam is importing more coal from West Virginia, the United States

The first direct shipment of American coal is planned to depart for Viet Nam this September. This shipment will include more than 100 thousand tons of coal mined from West Virginia.

Commercial flights connecting Viet Nam and several destinations in Asia to resume from mid-July

The Government of Viet Nam has approved an Initial Plan to resume commercial flights to several destinations in Asia. Accordingly, from the middle of July 2020, Viet Nam will resume a number of flights to Guangzhou (China), Taiwan (China), Seoul (South Korea), and Tokyo (Japan) with a frequency of 1 to 2 flights per week per route. Airports for departures and arrivals in Viet Nam include Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, and Danang International Airport.
