Vietnamese Beauty Enters Miss World Final With Poise
Vu Huong Giang will represent Vietnam at the Miss World 2005 Final, due to kick off at Sanya on China’s Hainan Island this evening.
One of the 15 most talented beauties selected by the Miss World 2005 organizers, Giang enters the competition hoping to represent her country as a finalist.
In a phone interview, Giang said she had tried her best to be worthy of representing Vietnam at the pageant, with 102 of the world’s most beautiful ladies from all over the world.
The Hanoi-born beauty revealed she wakes up at 5am everyday to exercise and hone her catwalk and dance skills for the talent show.
Giang performed the Chim Cong (peacock) dance choreographed by Chu Thuy Quynh at the Miss World 2005 Talent Show, which garnered major applause from the audience.
The 20-year-old beauty won both the “Most Talented” and “Congeniality” awards at the Miss International Tourism 2003 pageant in Malaysia.
In preparing for the final, Giang said she is very happy knowing that millions in her homeland will watch and encourage her through the final broadcast live on VTV1 from 8 to 10pm on Saturday.
“I am more confident knowing that everyone will be watching back home on VTV… I dream of hearing “Vietnam” called in the final,” she said.
