Korean version of online appeal for Agent Orange victims

The online petition to support Vietnamese Agent Orange victims now has a Korean version at www.vnkronline.net/petition/petitionk.html, launched by the online forum of Vietnamese students in Korea. The appeal also has versions in English, French, Spanish, Japanese, Italian and German at http://www.petitiononline.com/AOVN/petition.html and www.aafv.org.

The Justice for Victims of Agent Orange Petition to the U.S. President and others was created by the Britain-Vietnam Friendship Society and written by Len Aldis, the society’s secretary.

Nearly 473,000 people worldwide have added their names to the online petition by September 1.

According to Mr. Aldis, when the online petition closes at the end of December, he will send letters that have the link to the online petition site to United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan, the U.S. President, leaders of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate and the 35 U.S. companies, which produced and supplied the Agent Orange defoliant to U.S. forces during the Vietnam war.
