Swedish visitor: Vietnam much more beautiful than I thought

Many foreigners found a good impression of Vietnam and its capital city from the beginning of their visit. Ms. Asa Wisburg, a Swedish reporter, told VOVNews she would take good memories of Vietnam back to Sweden.
Reporter: This is your first time in Vietnam. Do you see any big differences between Hanoi and other capitals you have visited?
Ms. Asa: I have been visiting just a few capitals before, such as Paris and Stockholm. Hanoi was much more noisy and dynamic than others. I heard a lot of voices of people and the sound of motorbikes everywhere. In the beginning I felt surprised, and thought the city was chaotic. I wondered how could I manage. But just a few days after, I got used to it, and liked it very much.
Reporter: What is the difference between the Vietnam you have seen with your own eyes and the Vietnam you have known through books, newspapers, magazines and from your friends?
Ms. Asa: First of all, I want to say that Vietnam is much more beautiful than I imagined. Hanoi is very beautiful with all the lakes. It is so green outside, and seems really nice to me.
Reporter: What do you think about Vietnamese people? And what impressed you most?
Ms. Asa: I think the Vietnamese people are so beautiful and nice. I have been taken care of very nicely by them, and I really like the Vietnamese people. What impresses me first and most is the Vietnamese people. They are really nice. And I also remember Vietnam’s traffic. I will tell it to my children about the traffic here. The best memory is about the people I have met.
Reporter: When you return to your homeland, which landscapes will you remember best from Vietnam?
Ms. Asa: I like Hanoi best, everything about Hanoi. I have visited the late President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Museum. I spent so much time there. I also went to Ha Long Bay, and it was very beautiful. I don’t know how to express my feeling about Hanoi, as I remember so many nice things. I took many pictures everyday. I have also written a diary, so I will remember everything I have done during my stay. So many things happened to me and made beautiful memories in my mind. I will invite my friends to my home and tell them all that I remember about Vietnam and Vietnamese people.
Reporter: Will you come back to Vietnam again?
Ms. Asa: I feel in my heart that I really want to come back to Vietnam. I want to come here next time with my family. I like Vietnamese handicrafts. I have bought some silks for my relatives as souvenirs from Vietnam.
