Annoucement of list of projects calling for foreign investment
Ha Noi, May 20 (VNA)-- Industrial and tourism sectors hold the important places in the list of 228 projects calling for foreign investments during the 2001-2005 period signed by the Prime Minister on May 17.
The oil and gas sector calls for foreign investment in a USD 17 million project on post-petrochemical products, an industrial gas project in the Hoa Khanh industrial park in central Da Nang city, a USD 12 million product-sharing contract for exploration and exploitation of new oil fields.
The Dung Quat industrial park in central Quang Ngai province calls for investment in a USD 12 million Methylated petro-chemical plant, capacity 60,000 tonnes a year, and a USD 43 million project on Carbon petro-cheministry, capacity 30,000 tonnes a year.
Other major industrial projects which are given priority in the list of foreign investment include a USD 50 million Soda soft drink brewery, capacity 150,000 tonnes a year; and a USD 300 million PET plastic fibre factory, capacity 300,000 tonnes a year.
The tourism sector calls for foreign investment in a USD 390 million coastal tourism complex covering 445 ha in central Thua Thien-Hue province, and a USD 30 million water tourist-entertainments-recreation complex in Ha Long bay, northern Quang Ninh province.--Enditem
