Vietnamese students win prizes at Int'l physics Olympiad
Ha Noi, July 9 (VNA) -- All of the five Vietnamese students competing at the International Physics Olympiad held in Turkey from June 28-July 6 won prizes, including one gold medal, two bronze medals and two consolation prizes.
The gold medalist was Nguyen Bao Trung, a 12th grader from the Ha Noi National University. The bronze medalists were Bui Le Na, a 12 grader from the Ha Noi Amsterdam High School, and Dang Ngoc Duong, an 11th grader from the Ha Noi National University. Vu Khanh Tung and Do Chinh, also from the Ha Noi National University, received consolation prizes.
Last year, the Vietnamese students carried off four bronze medals and one certificate of merit at the International Physics Olympiad held in the United Kingdom.
Since Viet Nam's first participation in Int'l Physics Olympiad in 1981, 53 students have received prizes, including three gold medals.--VNA
