Vietnam’s National Day Celebrated in Washington DC

The Vietnamese Embassy in Washington D.C. has held a ceremony to celebrate the country’s 63rd National Day (Sept. 2).

The ceremony was attended by about 300 guests, including Congressman Eni Faleomavaega – Chairman of the Subcommittee on Asia , the Pacific and the Global Environment under the House’s Committee on Foreign Affairs, Ms. Henrietta H. Fore – Administrator of the US Agency for International Development (USAID).

Addressing the function, Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Le Cong Phung spoke highly of strong development in multi-faceted cooperation between Vietnam and the US since the two countries normalised relations in 1995.
