PM Nguyen Tan Dung to Attend High-level Debate at UN General Assembly
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will lead a Vietnamese delegation to attend the 62nd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York from September 24-28, Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Le Dung said at a press briefing on September 20. 
At the high-level debate which will take place from September 25 to October 10, leaders of UN member countries will deliver speeches, highlighting their opinions and policies on urgent issues of international concern in order to point out solutions. PM Dung is expected to deliver a speech on September 27.
On the sidelines of the debate, PM Dung will hold bilateral meetings with leaders of other countries.
The 62nd session of the UN General Assembly is very important for Vietnam as the country's bid for a UN Security Council non-permanent seat for the 2008-09 term will be decided and Vietnam will mark the 30th year of its admission to this organisation at the time.
