U.S helps train Vietnamese officers in munitions disposal

Ha Noi, Sept. 5 (VNA) -- Fourteen Vietnamese technicians are following a month-long training course of using DSS, a system supporting dynamite disposal transferred by the United States Government to Viet Nam.

The system includes office information equipment in support of clearing bombs and mines.

During the course, which will last until Sept. 29, officers and technical experts from Batallion 96 in charge of civil issues under the U.S. Pacific Command will introduce information about bomb and mine, disposal techniques in mine clearance, emergency medical treatment, and precision map making.--VNA
