Embassy opens book of condolences on passing away of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong
The Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam in the United States of America regrets with profound sorow to inform of the passing on July 19, 2024 of His Excelency Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee.
With his visionary leadership and unwavering dedication, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has made significant contributions to the national construction and development of Viet Nam. His passing is a tremendous loss to the Party, the State, the People of Viet Nam and his family. A State funeral will be held in Viet Nam on July 25-26, 2024, to honor General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and his remarkable legacy.
A Book of Condolences wil be opened at the Viet Nam House, 2251 R St NW, Washington D.C. 20008 at the following times:
- Wednesday, July 24, 2024 (09:00 AM-12:00 PM and 2:00 PM-5:00 PM)
- Thursday, July 25, 2024 (09:00 AM-12:00 MP and 2:00 PM-5:00 PM)
- Friday, July 26, 2024 (09:00 AM-12:00 PM and 2:00 PM-5:00 PM)
