Prime Minister busy with ASEAN summits

(VNA) Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung attended the 4th ASEAN-UN Summit, the 9th ASEAN-India Summit and the 6th East Asia Summit (EAS) in Bali on Nov. 19.

Vietnam contributes to implementing ASEAN priorities

(VNA) Vietnam has made important contributions to implementing ASEAN priorities, including building the ASEAN Community, strengthening ASEAN connectivity and expanding the association’s foreign relations.

The statement was made by Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh in an interview granted to the press on Nov. 19 as Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Bali after attending the 19 th ASEAN Summit and related summits.

National Tourism Year to highlight Hue festival

(VNA) Hue Festival, the annual international event being held for seventh time in the northern central coastal province of Thua Thien-Hue, will be the highlight of Vietnam's National Tourism Year 2012.
 
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and People’s Committee of Thua Thien-Hue province on Nov. 23 held a press conference in Hanoi to announce the National Tourism Year 2012 programme and the schedule for Hue Festival.
 
Hue Festival will be held from April 7 to 15, 2012, and be the first major event of the tourism year.
