Guidelines for HIV/AIDS control activities in Vietnam



Ha Noi, Oct. 27 (VNA) -- The Ministry of Public Health today, Oct. 27, unveiled documents guiding the ways to conduct HIV/AIDS control activities for provincial agencies.

The guidelines will be provided to all provinces and cities nationwide.

The guidance set includes 7 guiding books, 13 reference books on HIV/AIDS, 18 communication models, 11 hand books for training, five video cassets for peer members' training.

Viet Nam currently has about 88,000 people living with HIV/AIDS, according to UNDP. However, the real number of HIV/AIDS cases in Viet Nam could reach a peak level of 160,000 by the end of this year.
