Vietnam-US workshop explores cyber criminals
VietNamNet – A bilateral workshop on cyber criminal control held by the Ministry of Post and Telematics and the US Justice Department opened in Hanoi on August 30.
The workshop is the continuation of the multilateral workshop on this issue under the frame work of the Asia-Pacific Economic Forum (APEC) held in Hanoi on August 25-28.
The two-day workshop aims to open a channel of dialogue for related ministries and bodies of Vietnam, an APEC member, and the US Department of Justice in controlling cyber criminals.
Based on the viewpoint ‘international cooperation will be the key to fight against cyber criminals’, the US Department of Justice will deliver information related to the threats of cyber criminals and the impact cyber criminals have on the economy.
Colonel Nguyen Hoa Binh, Head of the Economic Police Agency under the Ministry of Public Security, delivered a speech expressing Vietnam’s viewpoint: the cyber criminal challenges Vietnam’s interest in global intergration and further international cooperation will lead to their control.
