New Policy On Electronic Visa And Visa Exemption

I/ Viet Nam’s electronic visa (or e-visa, labeled as EV) are now applied for citizens of all countries and territories.

 

On August 14, 2023, the Government of Viet Nam issued Resolution No. 127/NQ-CP  on the application of electronic visas for citizens of countries and territories; international checkpoints allowing foreigners to enter and exit by electronic visas.

 

Accordingly, the Government granted issueing electronic visas to citizens of all countries and territories.

 

This Resolution takes effect from August 15, 2023, replacing Resolution No. 79/NQ-CP dated May 25, 2020 and Resolution No. 60/NQ-CP dated April 27, 2022.

 

The duration of Viet Nam’s electronic visa is lengthened, from maximum of 30 days with single entry, to maximum of 90 days with single or multiple entry(ies).

On July 18th, 2023, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son signed the Decision appointing Mr. Daniel Paul Leaf as Honorary Consul of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States.

Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Dzung to pay courtesy calls to US diplomats and partners

US Secretary of Defence pays official visit to Vietnam

US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin and Vietnamese Minister of National Defence General Phan Van Giang appreciated the results of bilateral defence cooperation, and said that the cooperation has achieved practical results, that conform to the comprehensive partnership between the two countries, especially in overcoming war consequences, addressing non-traditional security challenges, supporting Vietnam in joining the United Nations peacekeeping missions, and improving the law enforcement at sea and military medicine.
