Important notice on the Embassy’s schedule

Starting from May 31, 2020, the Embassy's Chancery at Suite 400, 1233 20th St NW, Washington D.C. 20036 will open from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm & from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Tuesday and Thursday. All activities on Monday, Wednesday and Friday would be conducted under the telework policy. All consular services will be provided at the Consular Division of the Embassy. Hours of operation: from 9:00 am to 12.00 pm & from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Ambassador Ha Kim Ngoc had phone call with congressman Ami Bera

On May 21, 2020, in Washington DC, the Viet Nam Ambassador to the United States Ha Kim Ngoc had a telephone conversation with Congressman Ami Bera (D-CA), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific and Nonproliferation to discuss Viet Nam-U.S. Comprehensive Partnership and bilateral cooperation in coping with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Scam and fraud warning

Recently, the Embassy of S.R. Vietnam in Washington D.C. has been notified of a number of telephone scammers, who have impersonated the Consulate-Generals of Vietnam in San Francisco and Houston to request the recipients to provide their personal information and/or documentation for possible identity theft and fraud.
