HANOI, Aug 8 Asia Pulse - The Ministry of Fisheries has approved brand names for the fish exported to the US.
The ministry also proclaimed that all tra and basa fish processors and exporters must compulsorily put these trade names on the packaging cartons,paper boxes and PE bags when exporting them to the US.

While the tra will be named basa catfish, Mekong catfish or Pangas catfish, the basa will have one of the following names: Basa, Bocourti and basa bocourti.

It has also been made mandatory for the legends "Product of Vietnam" and "Made in Vietnam" to be carried on the packaging.(VNA)
