HCM CITY — Images of America, a photo exhibition which opened yesterday at the HCM City General Sciences Library, marks 10 years of diplomatic relations between the US and Viet Nam.
The gallery features more than 70 landscapes and portraits from all of America’s 50 states. It is supported by the U.S. Consulate General and the HCM City Union of Friendship Organizations.
The chairwoman of HCM City Union of Friendship Organizations, Ho Thi Minh Nguyet, said: "For citizens of HCM City, it is also the 10th anniversary of the friendship and cooperation built between HCM City and San Francisco, California."

"The US is committed to improving the relationship between the US and Viet Nam and to strengthening closer economic, diplomatic and cultural ties," said Lonnie Kelley, acting consul general in HCM City.

Joint celebrations for the 10 anniversary of VN-US relations will also include exhibits featuring American and Vietnamese photographers and outdoor jazz concerts, said Kelley.
