Viet Nam Joined Celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month in Washington DC

On May 10, the Vietnamese Embassy participated in the annual cultural fair, organized by Washington DC Mayor's Office, to celebrate the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.

Soohyun "Julie" Koo, Executive Director of the Office of Asian Pacific Islanders Affars at the Mayor's Office, spoke highly of Vietnam's participation in this important cultural event, noting its presentation played a part in showcasing and preserving the cultural diversity of Asian Pacific American in the US.

"The Embassy (of Vietnam) hopes not only to introduce fine traditions and culture of Viet Nam and its people to the American public, but also to bring warmth and pride to fellow Vietnamese living in the US about our national and cultural identity." said Nguyen The Cuong, the Embassy's Press and Cultural Attache.
